All round angler with a vent towards pleasure and chilling out on the bank. Into catching bigger fish than I have previously captured but without getting obsessive about it, I have a life outside angling too these days.

TYPE OF BAIT: Boilie wise Crab N Mussel but love the smell of Tutti Frutti and Ultraplex is one of my best catching baits at the mo for carp and barbel.
WHY YOUR FAVORITE: Caught my river PB common on one and had all five of my UK kittens up to 26lb 4oz on them.

I fished as a pro match angler for 12 years and competed in 8 world/world club championships for rerpesenting England and Norway. My best ever match weight was 65 kilos of roach in a five hour competition in Enniskillen Northern Ireland. My Biggest ever fish was a 65 kilo yellow finned tuna caught off the coast of South Africa which seemed to take me longer to get in than building up my PB match weight

Coming second overall in the 1988 World Club Champs. Being picked to fish for and England select team by Dick Clegg 3 times before I fished for Norway. PB River Avon Common 29lb 15oz caught after telling Stuart Dexter my mate that I would come back and catch it, that was May and I caught it on the first attempt at the end of July that year on a carb and nussel bottom bait.

TIP 1: Use stealth when you approach your swim, hammering bivvy pegs in will only help the anglers 100 yards across the lake catch more fish.
TIP 2: Don't skyline the swim with your shadow or silhouette
TIP 3: Use small hook baits in doubles
Features with Total Carp and Total Coarse Fishing keeping me pretty busy. Plan to fish for some barbel near to my house in Stratford on Ultraplex boilies which are wicked for whiskers.
