I'm the Editor of Carpworld Magazine, Britain's longest established carp-fishing title. Having worked as an angling journalist for nearly 14 years I have also compiled several books on angling. I enjoy fishing mainly for carp of all sizes, and have fished for carp all over the world. In recent years I have travelled to America to compete in the carp-match scene with some good results. My favourite method for carp fishing would have to be stalking at close range.
"Never settle for second best. If you have the slightest doubt in your rig presentation or bait application, think it through again until you are 100 per-cent happy. I've located some spots where if the rig was positioned 100 per cent I'd get a take. If however, it was a foot short of the mark I didn't get a take."
